Next Step

After SIP, I plan to take summer classes. My reason for taking summer classes is to take some of my engineering class so that I can have higher chances to get an internship that is related to my major. These classes will teach me new skills to prepare me for the job. I also plan to network with professionals in my industry to gain insights into potential careers and create opportunities for myself. Through TechPoint program "Xplore" I will have the opportunity to meet many professionals. I have applied to the program (Xplore) and I am eager to receive their response. Xplore is a remote program facilitated by TechPoint with the mission of helping talented young students determine paths they can take to rewarding careers in Indiana’s digital innovation economy. 

My summer classes will set me up for internships that will build my skills in my area of speciaty. Ultimately, my goal is to land a job that aligns with my values and interests and to continue growing and advancing in my career. Through Xplore, my leadership and professional skill will improve drastically. Having the exposure to how my work specialty might look like, this will definitely prepare me for my professional field.

To make sure that I accomplish my next steps, I have to speak to my advisor concerning summer classes, register for summer classes and  apply to Xplore through the TechPoint Website. Because I like getting things done, I already met with my advisor, registered for summer classes, and I have applied to the Xplore Program.
