My internship goal is to apply what I have learned in the classroom, learn and practice appropriate workplace behaviors, build on strengths and address weaknesses, and discover future directions as I begin my professional career. With what I have learned, I will be able to pick a specific career or field I would like to go into after graduation. Accomplishing goals is an important aspect of personal and professional growth. In my e-Portfolio, I have showcased the goals I set out to accomplish and the steps I took to achieve them. I am proud to say that I have accomplished many of my goals, and accomplished them through persistence, hard work, and determination. I learnt that it only takes dedication, persistence, hard work and determination to accomplish things
2 Improve my skills (strength and weakness) by asking for feedback and taking training to make me stand out in my professional field.
Identifying my Strengths and Weaknesses
This involves reviewing assessment results, soliciting feedback from others, or reflecting on personal experiences.
Developing a Plan to Improve
This involves building upon strengths by engaging in skill-building activities that allow one to further develop existing skills, while addressing weaknesses by finding ways to practice and seeking mentorship.
I want to:
1 Improve my leadership skills by building good relationships with staffs and students by practicing with colleagues to prepare me for a professional career.
Identifying Opportunities to Connect with Staff and Students
The first step is to actively seek out opportunities to connect with staff and students. This might involve attending staff meetings, participating in school events, or even eating lunch with students to better understand their needs and concerns.
Engaging in Listening and Collaboration
Once opportunities for connection have been identified, I will listen to the needs and concerns of others and work collaboratively to achieve goals. This might involve soliciting feedback from staff or students, working with others to develop solutions to problems, and recognizing the contributions of others.
Practicing Leadership Skills with Colleagues
Finally, the individual plans to practice leadership skills with colleagues to build skills and confidence for a future professional career. This might involve participating in leadership training or working with colleagues to practice communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
