Below are the conferences I attended during my academic career.
November 2024
I presented my poster at ABRCMS. I conducted this research in the fall under the guidance of Dr. Peggy Stockdale and Dr. Ann Kimble-Hill at Indiana University-Indianapolis. My study evaluates the effectiveness of sexual harassment training transcripts on male participants by comparing the levels of empathy expressed while manipulating the gender of the victim. I am honored to have on an award at this conference for my presentation skills.
I presented a literature review poster at the CRL Summer Research Symposium at Indiana University-Indianapolis. I conducted this literature review under the guidance of Dr. Peggy Stockdale and Dr. Ann Kimble-Hill. The literature review covered virtual reality (VR) as a tool in empathy training interventions for sexual harassment and racial discrimination in academic and organizational spaces.
At this summer symposium, I was also able to refamiliarize my self with presenting my research. The experience was overall incredibly positive and a great start to my IPREP experience.
July 2024
April 2023
I presented my poster at MPA in Chicago titled, "Exploring the Interaction of Race and Agreeableness on Helping Behavior." I conducted this research under Dr. William Graziano's guidance at Purdue. My study examined how racial identity and the Big Five Personality Agreeableness influences helping behavior.
This was my first poster presentation out side of Purdue, and it was incredibly exciting. I was able to gain valuable experience in communicating my research findings to a broader audience.
