Hi! My name is Christi and I'm a senior studying health services management at IUI Fairbank School of Public Health. I love helping people and serving my community. After graduation in May of 2025, I plan to pursue my career in long-term care as an administrative assistant or in a clinical setting to improve the lives and healthcare experience of patients and their families.
Please explore my site and learn more about the experiences I've had while studying health services management at IUI.
I am always passionate about sharing my story of why I chose to pursue my studies in Health Services Management. Choosing this major was very natural for me, and I knew it was the one that would have the greatest impact on my life. Growing up in an immigrant family and being the oldest child, I have always had to help my family with translations and medical visits. This allowed me to see the differences between America's medical ethics versus my parents' cultural values. I had to fill in the gap between the collision of the two cultures by clearing misunderstandings and explaining to my parents to trust their doctors. This gave me the heart to serve my community in health services management to increase higher quality of life, easier access to healthcare, and to improve cultural ethics in healthcare between providers and patients. My goal is to become a healthcare administrator to help patients feel seen and safe.
