Pediatric Handheld Heart Rhythm Monitor

Sponsor: Dr. Adam Kean, MD, MPH, FHRS

Project Goal

EKG's are a useful diagnostic tool to detect defects and conditions that pediatric cardiology patients may have. Traditional EKG techniques are slow, costly, and uncomfortable for the patient. The slowness bogs down office visits and consumes valuable time, the costliness limits application, and discomfort to the patient may result in inaccurate readings. The purpose of the pediatric handheld heart rhythm monitor is to provide a fast, cheap, and engaging EKG system that caters to pediatric patients without degrading the significance of data recorded.
