This page is a brief introduction to the authors of this website, the first author is Ethan Pauckner and the second is Gaib Stockrahm. This section gives a summary of who the authors are, why the topics they chose to research were chosen, and future plans for the authors.
Hello, my name is Ethan Pauckner, I am a chemistry major, and this is my third year, and I am the one who chose to research Biodiesel. My future plans mostly involve working in a lab setting and working with my hands though any sort of chemistry I will likely enjoy. I originally researched how biodiesel was synthesized but me and my partner decided to expand the topic to how it affects the environment. I chose to research biodiesel because I have always been interested in the discussion of alternative fuel sources and happened to stumble into an article about biodiesel when researching a potential topic. My goal for the website is that I want readers to understand some potential effects to our environment we live in that aren’t discussed often.
I wrote the article titled "How the use of honeybees is actually bad for the environment.", my reflection, this sub-section about me, and the homepage was split evenly between my partner and I.

My name is Gaib Stockrahm. I am a 4th year undergraduate biology student. After graduating, I plan on working in the field of ecology or conservation biology. I chose the topic of the European honeybees' impact on the ecosystem because I enjoy learning about invasive species and their impacts on the environment. I chose the European honeybee due to how common and pervasive this species is in the US. My goal for the website is to help readers understand the environmental impacts of the topics discussed in an easy-to-understand and visually appealing manner.
This course has strengthened my research and organization skills. These skills were useful in my literature review on the impacts of the European honeybee on native ecosystems. The review and two research articles I identified served as a foundational resource for their article. For this website, I wrote the biodiesel article and ensured the website was visually appealing and easy to navigate.
The purpose of the biodiesel article is to inform people about the biodiesel synthesis process, its environmental impacts, and environmental considerations. The process of writing this article and designing the website pushed me to identify and cater to a specific audience.
