Educators are asked to complete a variety of reports for their assignments:
Exit Tickets
Report Card (when applicable at the end of a marking period)
These reports allow our educators the opportunity to share topics covered, areas of strengths, as well as areas for improvement for each student.
To track student progress effectively, all work should be assessed (determine mastery), and saved for documentation
Student data will need to be collected for every teaching assignment. The required progress reporting on student progress will vary by program and not all of the reports below will be expected for every assignment.
Regardless of the required reports, it is best practice that all educators track and monitor student progress.
A simple Excel or a free progress tracking sheet like this one will help you better support your students during their time with you, and for you to provide thorough progress information if/when needed.
Exit tickets: for students to complete each session for all assignment types
Session Files: for admins to have insight into each session
Gradebook: at the end of each marking period (applies to Homebound, Credit Recovery, Whole Class Instruction (both 1:1 and group services)
iTutor has created a sample gradebook to help with student data collection.
If students are working on the same material during your time together you can list them all on the same gradebook. If students are completing separate assessments, it will be important to create a new tab for each student.
Student reports are shared with district administrators, teachers of record, and families. To ensure that all reports are student success driven, it is important to use neutral language. Review the tips before completing Report Cards.
