Core Assignment Descriptions
Homebound Instruction is instructional support services for students who are currently learning from home. Students are expected to attend school to the fullest extent possible, but homebound services may be provided, upon approval from their district, to students who are confined to home or a healthcare facility and are unable to attend school-based instruction.
Credit Recovery is tutoring in a specific subject area for the purpose of earning credit for seat time in a class. These services will be provided either in small groups (1:4) or on a 1:1 basis. Attendance and progress reporting is crucial to this program so that the school can be sure of students' completion or inability to complete hours.
Whole-Class Virtual Instruction provides instruction to students in a brick and mortar school for one or multiple periods throughout the day in a 1:30 (may be smaller) classroom setting. The Fullmind Educator is part of the school staff and is the sole provider of instruction everyday for those students for part or all of the academic school year. For specific guidance for Whole Class Virtual Instruction (WCVI) assignments, please refer to the WCVI Educator Guidance document.
Suspension Alternatives provide schools a safe environment for students during a suspension period with instructional support from a certified Educator. Sessions will take place every day regardless of student enrollment and will never have more than 5 students during a session.
Supplemental Assignment Descriptions
Tutoring is the primary assignment for supplemental instruction. These sessions provide direct supplemental instruction in subject specific areas, to accelerate, or address gaps in, student understanding in certain areas. Tutoring can occur in small group or individual settings.
Resource Room sessions provide direct supplemental instruction to students with disabilities in a small group setting. Similar to a brick-and-mortar setting, educators in a virtual resource room help students with disabilities work toward mastery of their IEP goals.
Test Prep is direct supplemental instruction designed to help students improve their grades on standardized tests that are offered in individual or small group (1:3) settings. Test prep is available for state tests and may include test taking strategies or subject specific instruction.
Homework Help is similar to tutoring sessions, offering supplemental instruction to students who require support, but is designed to address homework specific questions a study may bring to their session. This service is 'drop-in' meaning students can use it as they need it.
