Ithir Testing, LLC’s mission is to provide high quality and affordable testing assistance to engineering and consulting firms in an overflow or as needed capacity while adhering to applicable standards. With over 23 years of experience that spans the construction industry we hope to be the first call our clients make when looking for assistance.

We are a small geotechnical laboratory specializing in classification and index testing services.
While we are one of many laboratories that can assist you with your testing needs. We specialize in efficiency and communication.
We offer a broad range field testing and inspection services.
With numerous NICET / ICC / NCDOT / and ODOT certifications at your disposal we are happy to assist in any way we can on your residential; commercial; or transportation project.
Running into something that you have never seen or dealt with before can be daunting to say the least.
With over 23 years of experience spanning multiple construction fields we are in a unique position to offer help in many ways. Whether it be equipment calibrations, technician training, company registrations, or just answering questions. We are always here and happy to help.

Steven Putnam
Owner / Laboratory Supervisor / Testing Technician
Steven Putnam has 23+ years of engineering/testing/inspection experience and is currently the owner of the independent testing firm, Ithir Testing, LLC. He is responsible for maintaining all facets of the company, including but not limited to enrolling and maintaining accreditations, materials testing and reporting, business development, employee certification requirements and certifications, and customer service. His background spans many aspects of the engineering and consulting field with experience performing numerous forms of testing and inspection. A great resource, he is always happy to help where he can.
Certifications Held By Steven Putnam Include:
NICET (133636) - Soils Level IV, Concrete Level IV and Asphalt Level IV, and Highway Level III
NCDOT (11108) - Concrete Field Technician; QMS Roadway Technician
