MEET THE COUNSELOR
MEET THE COUNSELOR
My name is Nicole Tsilipetros (pronounced Chill-Ah-Petros). However, most of the students just call me Mrs. T!
My background includes a Master of Science degree in Human Services Counseling with a specialization in School Counseling from National Louis University. Before that, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Illinois State University with minors in Psychology and Sociology. I am currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Trauma-Informed Counseling from Northern Illinois University. I am an active member of the Illinois School Counselor Association. In addition, I serve on the School District 10 Advisory Committee.
I have over 15 years of experience working with students from diversified backgrounds including those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Downs Syndrome, as well as under-served children. My professional roles include contributing to the Educational Life Skills Program at Riley Elementary School and School Counselor at Carpentersville Middle School.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 3 children. I like traveling to new places, cheering on my kids at their many extracurricular activities and taking Pilates classes.
I am excited to be working with the students and staff at Franzen Intermediate School as their School Counselor!
