Welcome to the ISSEA Drama & Visual Arts website. This year's festival is hosted by the International School of Uganda (ISU).
The ISSEA Art and Drama festival brings students from eight ISSEA schools together for three full days of Art and Drama workshops and experiences. Traditionally, this event begins with a showcase of student work made in the host schools with both Drama performances and an Art exhibition.
Students then engage in a series of workshops led by professional local artists. Finally, students create original work based on the theme of the festival. This work is showcased on the final afternoon of the event.
To all of our ISSEA community you are most welcome to the 2025–2026 ISSEA Visual Arts and Drama Festival. We are excited to be welcoming you to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, and to our community here at the International School of Uganda.
We are full of anticipation to see all that you will share with us, create together and experience from the rich variety of cultural, artistic and dramatic presentations and exhibitions over the three days of this festival. As a Visual Artist, I am particularly excited to share in this journey together with you and I look forward to seeing the community come together to create and imagine through the theme of contradiction.
We hope you build great memories, create strong ties and connections and that the festival is a time of inspiration and successful collaboration. Enjoy your stay with us here at ISU and we hope you leave with an experience that you will remember for years to come.

Welcome to ISU!
It is my great pleasure to warmly welcome all students and teachers from ISSEA schools to the International School of Uganda for the 2025–2026 ISSEA Visual Arts and Drama Festival.
During the three ISSEA days, our campus will come alive with creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange as you share your talents, perspectives, and passion for the arts. Together, we celebrate the power of artistic expression to connect us across boundaries, inspire empathy, and illuminate the many ways we experience our world.
We are honoured to host such a vibrant community of young artists and performers, and we hope this festival becomes a source of inspiration, growth, and lasting friendship. May your time at ISU be filled with discovery, celebration, and the joy of creation.

On behalf of the community, I'd like to take the opportunity to welcome you all to the International School of Uganda. We are very excited to be hosting you and are looking forward to learning and growing with you.
I wish each of you an inspiring and memorable event and I hope that you strive towards your personal goals as artists.
Any ISSEA event is a special, however ISSEA Arts festivals are unique in terms of building friendships and connections with others as you learn and collaborate with students, teachers and professionals from a variety of backgrounds and experience.
Have fun, enjoy and make the most of all the opportunities you have during ISSEA Drama & Visual Arts 2025.
