Bachelor of Secondary Education is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to teach in their chosen area of specialization or major in the secondary level. The BSED degree program aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for secondary education. After successful completion of all academic requirements for the degree, graduates should be able to practice the teaching profession in the Secondary Level.

The minimum standards for the program expressed on the graduates ability to articulate and discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice, effectively communicate both orally and writing, work effectively and collaboratively with a substantial degree of independence in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams, act in recognition of professional, social and ethical responsibility and promote Filipino historical and cultural heritage.
