Current and Past Research Projects
Current activities include the development of various test compressors, ranging from 90 mm diameter one stage units to 11 stage J-34 Westinghouse jet engines. Some of the infrastructure is being modeled as future digital twins as well as AR/VR based environments. Research work is also been done on developing stall precursor algorithms using dynamic modeling as well as AI based approaches.Â
Topics of active work are found in Biomedical Signal Processing, Estimation, and Sensor Development as well as Autonomous Wheelchair Driving using Deep Learning, Prosthetic Device control using sEMG signals, and Virtual and Augmented Reality for Prosthetic Device control and Rehabilitation.
VR and AR for rehabilitation, robotics, and visualization of aerospace systems
Wind turbine control and wave energy device control applications
Control and Process Identification of Additive Manufacturing Processes
