Interests

My current research interests address topics in reinforcement learning control, system identification, nature inspired algorithms, intelligent systems including estimation, optimization and realization of minimum order systems. I seek to solve problems found in aerospace engineering (modeling and control of axial compressor systems, aircraft dynamics and navigation) biomedical engineering (surface electromyographic signal processing), advanced manufacturing (control of LENS and SPS systems), and energy systems (control of wind power as well as ocean wave based energy converters).
