GPA Breakdown

GPA stands for Grade Point Average.

For each high school course that a student takes, they receive a quality point. This quality point varies depending on the final grade earned, as well as the weight of the course (Is it academic, honors or AP?)

Our grades are on a 10-point grading scale.

A student's weighted cumulative GPA adds together all of the quality points the student has earned throughout high school and divides that sum by the number of courses taken in high school.

Unweighted GPAs do not take into consideration the level/rigor of the course so the highest an unweighted GPA could possibly be would be a 4.0.

Click here for a GPA Calculator website - but keep in mind when using this that your GPA includes grades from 9th grade on so you'd need to include every grade ever earned throughout high school to get an accurate GPA calculation.
