Which words are nouns and which words are verbs?

Children are learning to write combination sounds, since they know most of the single letter sounds. Today they learnt the sounds /ay/ and /ai/. They searched for these sounds in the words of the song, "Rain, Rain, Go Away".

Another combination sound that the children have learnt is /ar/, like in the word car. Each child made a car out of playdough and then wrote a story about it.
