Admissions Policy
Israel School of Excellence admits scholars of any race, gender, color, nationality or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to scholars at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, color, nationality or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, tuition grant program, athletic and other school-administered programs.
Israel School of Excellence was established on the biblical principle that God gives parents the primary responsibility for educating their scholars. The school enters into a partnership with parents and educators to teach academics in the context of a Biblical Christian worldview. Israel School of Excellence policy is to offer enrollment to scholars of parents who desire a Bible-based education with academic excellence for their scholars. The Israel School of Excellence staff partners with families who also teach their scholar what it means to have a Christian lifestyle regarding personal and family relationships, such as demonstrating love for others, exhibiting a teachable character and sharing the belief that a biblical marriage is limited to a covenant relationship between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4).
Israel School of Excellence admits scholars whose parents are like-minded spiritually, who are supportive of our philosophy, objectives and standards of education, and who meet our admissions standards. Our purpose is to serve families who desire not simply a private education, but a distinctively Christian education for your scholars.

If you do not agree with our religious mission and beliefs, enrolling your scholar will likely cause him or her confusion. For example, if a question regarding biblical lifestyles arises in bible class or your scholar's classroom, the teacher will answer from a biblical viewpoint consistent with our mission and belief statement. If your beliefs and lifestyle choices are not in agreement with our doctrinal stance, that answer will likely create a conflict in your scholar's heart and mind. This internal conflict could drive a wedge between you and your scholar, cause your scholar to negatively judge you as a parent, or force your scholar to choose between our teaching and what he or she learns at home. We respect your desire to place your scholar in the best possible learning environment, but if you are not in full agreement with our doctrinal positions or your lifestyle is in conflict with them, your family will not be admitted for enrollment at Israel School of Excellence.

Enrollment
The first step for enrollment is for parents or guardians to apply through Gradelink at https://secure.gradelink.com/2355/enrollment to begin the enrollment process.
Enrollment documents such as birth certificates can be submitted online during registration or emailed to mholloway@isoe7.org. Applications can be denied due to failure to submit information.
The second step is to complete the Principal Interview with at least 1 parent and scholar(s) present.
Please note* Homeschool transfer scholars must have utilized an accredited homeschool curriculum and they are subject to an entrance examination for each core course of record and or grade equivalent. Scholars are subject to repeat grade levels previously completed in homeschool due to failed entrance exams and or deficiencies observed in learning.
*Note: ISOE will request academic records from the previously attended school and may seek counsel from the former school.
Interview and Assessment
An Interview with the Principal, including Academic Evaluation, will be scheduled by the school office. (If a waiting list exists, you will be contacted by phone.)
Following the Principal Interview, you will be contacted with a decision regarding your scholar’s admission.
Please note that an interview with the Principal does not constitute acceptance of admission. Some situations require additional research and may lead to probationary acceptance and or application denial.
Probationary Admission
Individuals interested in transferring to Israel School of Excellence whose behavior is less than acceptable and/or grade point average is lower than 2.0 may petition for probationary admission.
Petitions are available from Micahl Holloway, ISOE Office of Enrollment at mholloway@isoe7.org. Transfer scholars will submit a copy of their transcript. Petitions are reviewed by the ISOE Principal, LaWanda Hurst, and a parent or guardian will be notified of the final decision usually within 10 business days once records are received for the scholar.
At the discretion of the Admissions and Enrollment teams, the school will ordinarily admit transfer scholars whose past performance, experience, or current situation show a reasonable potential for successfully completing their education. Such scholars are counseled through the Guidance Counselor and remain on probation until their cumulative grade point average is raised to at least 2.5 and or other areas of concern are appropriately reconciled. Please note that the scholar must maintain both criteria throughout the school year at which they were admitted on a probationary status.
Expectations:
✳Minimal behavioral issues
✳Good attendance
✳Submission of all assignments
✳Compliance with accepting help and counseling
✳Weekly check-ins with parent and scholar via counselor to discuss progress, goals, and any concerns
Statement of Policy
It is the policy of Israel School of Excellence that each scholar be placed in the grade level most appropriate to the scholar's development. Scholars are expected to progress annually from grade to grade from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, but may be retained or advanced at an accelerated rate when circumstances warrant. Placement of High School scholars shall be based upon credits earned and progress towards graduation.
