Jake Macapagal was nominated at The British Independent Film Awards as Most Promising Newcomer for 2013 for the award winning film "Metro Manila". His performance has earned Jake international critical acclaim. He is also well know for working in independent cinema gems such as Chateau de Rozesu, Pandanggo, Doble Vista, Compound and Posas and most recently HBO Asia's Original 8 part series "Halfworlds."
His acting career started on the stage and he has showcased his acting mettle in a wide array of projects varying from local leading roles; "Next to Normal," "A Little Night Music," "West Side Story", "Aspects of Love", "Hedwig and the Angry Inch") to International productions of "Miss Saigon" (Germany and UK), "RENT", "Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens" and "Nagraland", as well as Manila productions of "Les Miserables", "My Fair Lady", "Jack and the Beanstalk", "Cabaret", "Falsettos", "Cats", "Peter Pan", "Once On This Island" and The Goethe Institute's "Slipped Disc".
Haig is the producer of The Man Who Built Cambodia (2015), a short documentary about the uncompromising Cambodian architect Vann Molyvann. To date, the film has been screened at 20 festivals worldwide, winning best documentary at Mexico’s Cinetekton International Film and Architecture Festival in 2016. Haig has been telling stories from an international perspective for more than a decade. After journalism school, he landed in Sri Lanka in 2006 to report on a fragile peace process that was falling apart. Two years later, Haig was back in Canada producing radio documentaries for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, later becoming an associate producer at the Discovery Channel. Itchy feet and a freelance film production gig took him to Cambodia in 2011. There he stayed for the next three years, co-founding littleBIG Films, which made more than 30 impact films for international organizations in countries across Asia. Haig now lives in the Philippines, where he continues to produce documentaries.
Moira Lang is a Philippine screenwriter and producer. Her credits include the films Anak, Tanging Yaman, Kailangan Kita, Milan, Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros, D’Anothers, Endo, In My Life, Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington!, Norte: Hangganan ng Kasaysayan, Smaller and Smaller Circles, and Patay na si Hesus.
