Oh my dear INQUIRER...You're a lifelong learner with so much curiosity, you don't know what to do with it! Luckily, we are here for you. Use these resources to take on an individual project or some STEAM challenges, then visit a science center or two. There's no limit to what you can learn while on vacation. You will have many opportunities show how KNOWLEDGEABLE you really are!

Check out this TEDxWomen2011 talk by teenagers Lauren Hodge, Shree Bose and Naomi Shah who were all 2011 Google Science Fair winners and describe their scientific projects into asthma, resistance to chemotherapy in ovarian cancer patients and the degradation of nutrients that occurs whilst grilling chicken.

NASA at Home (Y1-Y9)
Visit space from your living room, communicate with the space station, and get daily updates on what is going on in the universe. In addition to learning about space, this resources connects you to NASA's free STEM program which offers lessons for all age ranges. The aim of this program is to help build the next generation of engineers- maybe that includes you!
UC Berkeley Museum of Paleontology (Y1-Y11)
Interactive lessons about dinosaurs, evolution, and more. The mission of the University of California Museum of Paleontology is to investigate and promote the understanding of the history of life and the diversity of the Earth’s biota through research and education. We are lucky to be able to visit and experience the museum from home.
NOVA Labs (Y8-Y13)
NOVA Labs provides an amazing digital platform for engaging middle and high school students in activities and games that foster scientific exploration. Check out one of their many labs on offer for topics such as the solar system, RNA, or cybersecurity.
Amazon Future Engineer (Y3-13)
Take advantage of Amazon's current offer for free computer science courses (until fall 2020)and use code for robotics, song remixes, and many more projects. Amazon Future Engineer is a four-part, childhood-to-career program aimed at inspiring and educating hundreds of thousands of students from underrepresented and underserved communities each year to try computer science and coding.
Skype a Scientist (Y4-Y13)
Doing some research on your own? Why not Skype an expert? Now's your chance to interview a real live scientist! Skype a Scientist is a nonprofit educational organization based in Willimantic, Connecticut that enables scientists to video conference with students in classrooms.
Caine's Arcade: (All Ages)
Caine is a maker at heart. He uses his creativity and thinking skills to create fun experiences for others out of recyclables- mostly cardboard.
