At Home
At Home
Art, both the act of creating or consuming, plays an important role in self-expression, culture, and well-being. It can be a source of stress release with movement and expression; therapeutic with the ability to help us process what we are feeling; and uplifting, as a way to boost our spirits. Art also has a way of helping us to connect with the human condition, building empathy and understanding for the cultures and experiences of others. For thousands of years, the arts have played a crucial role in people's lives; this is especially evident now. We are lucky to have our moment in history when technology allows us to maintain access to our favorite art forms.
Staying safe at home has not stopped these musicians! Zoom has been a handy tool to keep them connected, and in some cases, music is serving as medicine. How might you use the tools you have to share your love of music with others? Each individual artist below has a Youtube channel. Consider stopping by to express your gratitude!
