The goal of ISL’s ASA programme is to help lay the groundwork for young people to remain active and involved throughout their life. The ASA programme is built around the idea of providing balance – balance across activities, balance over time and balance of opportunity. By trying out new things, young people discover what they are good at, and are motivated to succeed. By providing the opportunity to increasingly specialise, we allow students to understand the need for commitment and hard work. By providing a developmentally appropriate route, we encourage young people to remain active and involved throughout their life.
The ISL After-school Activities (ASA) Programme will encourage students to explore their interests and develop new skills by offering a wide variety of activities to engage, support and ignite their learning and passions. The ASA programme will lay the foundation for a balanced, healthy and active lifestyle by providing opportunities for students to experience their forms of success. Within the progressive extra-curricula structure, students will be challenged to enhance their self-confidence, activity-specific competencies, interpersonal connections and build their individual identity.
As the COVID19 situation continues to develop and evolve, the ISL ASA Department would like to provide opportunities for students to be engaged in the after-school activities programme that they have become accustomed to. Click the buttons below to navigate to the Primary and Secondary School ASA virtual programme. Our coaches and leaders have put time into these sessions in the hopes that the students will continue to be actively engaged in the ASA Programme.
