Introduction

Educating for global sustainability, nurturing self, nature and others are essential in the construction of a sustainable future. Through service learning, ISKL students participate in authentic and experiential opportunities by engaging in stewardship for the Earth and its people.  Students develop empathy, care and responsibility to create a better world and make an ethical impact.

Service learning goes beyond traditional community service, embracing a learning experience that solves real-life community issues. Through this program, we embody ISKL's core values of care, empathy, collective efficacy, high expectations, and equity and inclusion.

We invite all Panthers, wherever you may be, to seize the opportunity and make a difference for the community and yourself. Whether sharing, collecting, teaching, or volunteering, we can all create a better world through service learning. Service to others can be direct or indirect action, advocacy for a particular cause or group and/or be simply research into a complex issue that is challenging our world today.
