WE CAN DO IT!
Women are often depicted as the only parent responsible for raising their children.
In my opinion this is a common stereotypical view of a woman which is wrong.
A lot of sites nowadays are working to make equality between women and men a reality so that everyone can know what is happening in the world.
These sites analyse and collect data on gender inequalities, identifying gaps between women and men. By providing evidence , these sites not only make us aware, but above all, they improve an aspect that should have been resolved long time ago, considering that we live in a civilized era.
Young people are the only chance the world has to reduce this disgusting phenomenon. Therefore, we must start with the small things and omit from everyday language phrases that seem "normal" to us such as: "Woman, go and wash the dishes" or "You're a woman, you have to stay at home to clean and take care of the children". These phrases are very often said as a joke, but the joke if prolonged can turn into something real.
We women must support and not offend each other because we can change ourselves and not others. So, if we want to start changing the stereotypes on women that have been created in today's society, we need to start changing ourselves.
The GB educates not to discriminate between female and male students, ensuring a fair learning opportunity. For example, the school provides a psychologist who listens to students' problems, also related to the issue of inequality between men and women.

Red shoes in the square to say "it's enough" to violence against women
What do the members of the Government do or what could they do?
The Italian Government has launched a communication campaign to stop violence against women. The Government made footballers, prominent people in Italy, to shoot a video message that would promote a cultural change in the Italian community through the language and values of sport. In these videos, the footballers have united in condemning violence and have called all citizens to a foundamental collective commitment to say "it's enough" to any type of violence against women. They want to eliminate any type of gender inequality.

We rarely see a man nurturing his children in advertisement and, if it happens, he is either viewed as being weak or he is unemployed. In my opinion, in order to change this stereotype, the Government has to show men in a nurturing role alongside women.
We have to remember that when a woman denounces a violence, the damage has already been done. A video for understand

The goal of our high school is to create a campaign to try to convince all people that we can try to do something.
The teachers at school talk to their students about all the problems due to gender differences and together they try to find solutions to make women and men equal, as it should be! At Giordano Bruno, as in other schools, a new subject has recently been launched: Citizenship Education. It is really a great way to understand what gender disparity means and also to understand what students think.
School education, especially for children, who are the generation that will soon have to carry the world forward, is a really great method to make everyone understand that there are NO GENDER DIFFERENCE!

GENDER DIFFERENCES IN WORKPLACE
-How can we demonstrate that there is a gender gap in the workplace? But in particular how can we solve this problem?
Nowadays it's a much discussed topic... in order to have the least incorrect data as possible, I will take them from ISTAT website (it is very reliable).
We are all trying to solve this problem, and also this kind of "discrimination" against women. I decided to use data of previously years because the ones of 2020 are not available.
In 2014, for example, data confirm this gender difference: indeed, an Italian male manager earns about 15 euros more (per hour) than a female manager. While, for example, the gap between a male employee and a female employee is only 2 euros per hour.
From these data we can understand that the top paid jobs are less accessible to women. But from 2014 to 2017 the data confirm that there are many more women, compared to previous years, to be part of the highest paid jobs: in fact, in 2014 the percentage of women who had higher paid jobs was 22.7%, while in 2017 it rose up to 33.6%. So in 3 years the percentage has risen by about 10%. This is a good thing, but if we think about it, in Italy up to 75 years ago women could not vote.. and there are still countries where women cannot vote or have no equal rights.
-Why do the women earn less than men?
I don't know why this happens, but in my opinion, this is the consequence of the traditional view: "Women are inferior to men" which still remains. We must not think women are inferior, because they're not, we're all the same. People have been good at abolishing racism, but then, when it comes to paying women, much more should be done.
Do you think this is not discrimination? I think so, and I also think people should not talk randomly and incoherently. If we abolish racism, we must also abolish gender differences.
-How can we solve di sort of discriminations?
In my opinion we should start discussing these issues already in the primary schools, making it clear what is the right mentality, and the Government should require women to be paid as much as men.

GENDER DIFFERENCES IN SPORT
Since the Ancient Greece sports were reserved to men, the women couldn't participate to the Olympic Games. In those days women couldn't even watch the games. Nowadays the situation has changed, women can participate at Olympic Games, but there are some kinds of discrimination today. For example women are less paid than men in sports, in the top list of 100 most paid sportsmen there is only 1 woman. This represents how women are less considered by the society. This pay gap is due to the fact that women sports are less watched by people. Maybe women's sports are less watched because women are considered weaker and because there is a lot of discrimination outside sports. In the last few years women's sports are increasing in terms of spectators because the gender differences are decreasing compared to past years. Nowadays there are some stereotypes against women in sport, like the fact that if a woman plays soccer she isn't considered a "real woman".
These gender differences have to stop to exist and everyone should help. For example the women soccer team of the USA are protesting against the federation because they claim the fact that the soccer team is victim of discrimination because they are less payed than the men's soccer team.
The problem of gender differences in sports will stop when the discrimination of women will stop to exist.
