Joe Cilia
Director of Global Cafe
A true pioneer in the food and beverage business, Joe was one of the first foreign owners and operators to take on the food and beverage industry in Saigon. He started Global Cafe over 24 years ago from simple kiosks in shopping centres to catering to over 9 international schools and 4 different outlets at RMIT University.
Originally hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Joe has been operating Global Cafe at ISHCMC for over 24 years.
He runs the business with a passion rarely scene from most owners, making himself available to all customers and being present and onsite on a daily basis.

John Tuzi
Operations Manager
With over 20 years of experience in the F&B industry in Toronto, Canada and HCMC, Vietnam, John is obsessed with food and service. John has been a part of the ISHCMC Community 2011 and involved in it's many evolutions. He is known to most students as "Mr. John".
Formerly responsible for catering large events, corporate catering, private parties, and working as a "fixer" for celebrities for one of the leading catering companies in Toronto, he decided to take his experience and knowledge of the food and beverage industry and apply it to Vietnam, a country he loves dearly.
John has been a part of many of the changes over the years at ISHCMC. From the trial and creation of the salad bar and parents cafe to the design and installation of the canteen, cafe and kitchen at the new secondary campus.
John is also one of the creators and owners of Soul Burger Restaurant in District 1.

Nguyen Thi My Hang
Primary and AAVN Campus Manager"Mrs. Hang" is the friendly face of Global Cafe having worked for us for over 10 years. Originally from Ben Tre, Mrs. Hang brings that mekong charm to all visitors to the canteen.
Mai Thi Tinh
Primary Campus Assistant Manager"Mrs. Phuong" is the assistant manager and main cashier for Global Cafe. Hailing from Da Nang, she has been working within our organization for 10 years.
Nguyen Thi Lien
Primary Campus Head Server"Chi Lien" is the head server and main cashier for Global Cafe. She has been working at ISHCMC for so long that she has seen kids enter the school in EE and KG and graduate many years later. One of our senior staff.

Primary Campus Head Cleaner/RunnerThien is a very friendly, hard working member of Global Cafe responsible for make sure that the cleaning team is performing and making sure any deliveries around the school arrive in a timely manner.

Primary Campus Grade 1 Supervisor"Mrs. Dung" is responsible for helping service the indoor dining area at ISHCMC.

Primary Campus Junior Accountant and Deli CashierA new member of our team, Ms. Nhan is either busy serving tacos and baguettes or hard at work on her computer in the canteen area.

Ha Thi Thanh Trang
Secondary General Location Manager"Jessie" is the friendly face of Global Cafe having worked for us for a long time. She came over to Secondary after helping to set up and operating AAVN's canteen for the last 3 years. She's responsible for all the seasonal decoration around the canteen.
Le Thanh Hung
Secondary Daily Manager and Staff SupervisorHung is our in house "Jack of all trades" having over 8 years experience in the International School Catering Scene. He does it all from event planner to OHS and staff supervisor. And he's still young.
Luu Thong Dat
Secondary Head ChefOur newest member of the Global family, Chef Dat is an experienced Kitchen Head with a lot of experience in the International School catering scene and the international hotel scene. We welcome him aboard and look forward to some delicious offerings.

Secondary Campus Head BaristaMs. Trang, our longest standing barista with a friendly face. You'll find her behind the cafe whipping up an Italian coffee or fruit smoothie.

Secondary Campus Cafe Organizer and Event CoordinatorMrs. Thuy's focus is the food options for the cafe and she is responsible for setting up and servicing all catered events at the school.
Carlos Calpito Monteclaro II
Chef de Partie (Tacos)Carlos is the man behind the delicious taco and taco bowls at both campuses. Originally from the Philippines, Carlos has been with Global Cafe for more than 3 years and helped open "la cantina", Global Cafe's taco kiosk at RMIT University.
Nguyen Tan Long
Secondary Campus Head Cleaner/RunnerAll that fruit doesn't get delivered by itself. Mr. Long works tirelessly to make sure all deliveries around the school are on time and that the cleaning team performs and looks after the well being of the school community.
Bui Phuoc Hai
Secondary Campus Pizzaiolo and ServerHai has been making Pizzas for over 12 years. He is responsible for making, proofing and shaping all the dough across both campuses. Trained by Italian Pizzaiolo Chef Mimmo, Hai is also the man behind Global Cafe's wraps and paninis.
