Students in PYP 4-5 through DP2 and STX need to bring their own laptop to school.
You can buy the laptop from any retailer, as long as it meets the minimum requirements set out in our Bring Your Own Device Policy.
Important: Chromebooks, tablets, and iPads do not meet the requirements for school use.
Teachers use a range of approaches in the classroom, but a laptop remains an essential learning tool. Without a fully working laptop, students may miss out on parts of their learning.
Students must:
Bring a laptop and charger to school every day, unless a teacher says otherwise.
Arrive with a charged laptop. If needed, they can charge it at school during the day.
Keep their laptop in good working condition at all times.
Our Bring Your Own Device Policy also covers expectations for responsible and safe device use. Please take a few minutes to read it with your child.
We advise that valuable items are not taken into school. Home insurance needs to cover loss or damage to student valuables; the school does not have insurance for personal possessions.
Opening hours are posted outside the library and families are encouraged to utilize the space. Classes visit and borrow books on a weekly basis.
In order to maintain a high quality collection of library materials, library materials that are lost or damaged beyond repair will be billed for the cost of purchasing a new replacement.
The cost of replacement will be 150 DKK for books/materials, however if the lost/damaged book has a value of greater than 150DKK, the librarian will determine the appropriate fee. This fee covers the value of reordering the book or a similar replacement, as well as shipping, any customs and taxes, and in-house processing costs. If at a later date these costs are shown to be not sufficient to replace the value of the item lost, this cost of replacement may be subject to change.
The library is happy to accept a replacement copy, if that copy is the same as the title that was lost and is in new or “like new” condition. Condition to be approved by the librarian.
If the library book is found and returned to the library in good condition, the student can get a refund.
