A religion is what people believe in. For example some kids in the world belive in Christmas because it's part of their religion. Or for example, some people believe that God created everything. Here are some religions: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and there is actually many more! but there are people who don't believe in god they are called atheist.

Islam is a religion of many. People which religion is "Islam" are called Muslims. Muslims believe in only one god called Allah. Most people in the world's religion, is Islam. The other half is mostly Christianity but you'll find more info about Christianity after you're done reading Hinduism which is below Islam. On the paragraph called What is Religion next to it, there is a picture and it shows how much percent of each religion there is all over the world, and the results are very surprising! Like, there's 60.4% of the world is Islam! And the rest is all Buddhist Christian and Hindu and many other religions we can't forget about them!

Hinduism is a religion that has around 33 million gods. But there is only a few god's people celebrate each year. You know Diwali right? It is one of the most famous Hindu festivals, it is a the festival of lights, because there are many fireworks in the celebration of Rama's return after a 14 years battle against the demon Ravana to save Sita. When they returned there where fireworks and rangoli (a design made of a powder).

This religion was very common in the 1st century. Christians believe in Jesus Christ, the holy spirit and god. the sign of Christianity is the cross, because Jesus was hung on a cross, left there to die. A christian is a person who believes that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so that we might live a happy life. They pray every Sunday, in a church. To be a christian you have to have bible. The old testament is the first section in the bible covering all the things that God created. The new testament covers how Jesus died on the cross, and also it talks about the teachings that Jesus gave to his followers. Christians celebrate Christmas, because Jesus was born on the 25th of December, so Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
