OMS Band Lessons
Objective
Identify personal goals for improvement and problem solve solutions.
Description
This is a small group of band students that will be pulled from other classes once per week for 20 minutes of technical instruction, based on the instrument that the student plays.

"Tradition of Excellence" Book 1 or 2.
Guidelines
Lessons are a mandatory part of the band program.
Students leave class 5 minutes before lesson begins.
Set up quietly while prior lesson group is finishing.
Go directly back to class after lesson.
Students need to email band director if they are unable to leave class due to test.
Grading
Lesson grades will be assessed on the student's preparedness for the lesson and recorded in the "Skills Check" portion of their grade.
Missed lessons (unexcused) are recorded as a zero for that grade.
In the case of a test in class, student must contact the teacher to inform them to be excused.
If a student is absent from school during their lesson time, they will be excused from their lesson.
Assessments for students' academic grade are assigned and assessed during lessons.
