OMS Concert Bands Class Overview

6th and 7th Grade bands meet every other day, throughout the year. 8th Grade Band is an all year/every day class. Band students play woodwind, brass, or percussion instruments. Each student receives pull-out, small group instruction once per week. The bands performs concerts in December and May at the OHS auditorium. Other performance opportunities are also provided throughout the year.

OMS Beginning Band Class Overview

This is a class for 6th grades who wish to start on a band instrument.  Instrument choice is limited to clarinet and trumpet.  Class meets every other day.  Each student also receives pull-out, small group instruction once per week. Students are expected to practice at home.  Students from this class will participate in two concerts during the school year, one in December and the other in May. Both concerts and mandatory.
