The Bakken Museum offers their limited income discount to more than just food stamps users! You can qualify if you receive TANF, MFIP, WIC, General Assistance, Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare, SSI, Social Security Disability Benefits, SNAP, Section 8, or Free/Reduced Price School Meals.
You will need to provide proof of participation in one of those programs in order to receive the discount.
The Bell Museum at University of Minnesota offers several discounts for low income households.
Curiosity Memberships and Explore Passes: these discounted and free offerings increase access for qualifying visitors who participate in EBT, medical assistance programs like MinnesotaCare, Section 8 housing programs, WIC, Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability, free/reduced lunch programs, Refugee Cash Assistance programs and General Assistance programs
Free admission for PCAs. Admission fees are not charged for on duty personal care assistants who accompany their clients to the museum.
Each season, the Children’s Theater Company provides financial assistance to over 1,000 low income families who would not otherwise be able to attend their performances, classes and camps. Their program, known as the ACT Pass, provides up to six tickets per household at $5 each. Once your application for the ACT Pass program is approved, it lasts for two years. Exhibits are accessible by wheelchair and stroller. The Autism Society of Minnesota and the History Center have partnered together to make it an enjoyable experience for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders by training staff and designating quiet spaces within the museum. Free Admission
The Minnesota Zoo provides free admission to a qualifying guest and their dependents. This is through its Free to Explore Zoo Access Program. Parking and fees for any special programs, events, or exhibits are not included.
To qualify for Free to Explore, you must be enrolled in at least one of the following programs:

Limited income families can receive free and reduced-priced admission through the “Play for All” Program! Minnesota Children’s Museum in St. Paul provides free and reduced-priced family memberships to low-income and foster care families and is available to any family living at or below 200% of the poverty level. The Science Museum of Minnesota offers discounts to people with limited incomes. The discounts are available for both the museum and Omnitheater. You must be 18 or over and enrolled in at least one assistance program listed on the museum's website.

Inclusive, interactive concerts • Inclusive, interactive concerts for families in a sensory-friendly, accepting environment. Concerts labeled as “Sensory-Friendly” are inclusive, interactive concerts for families. These events allow audience members to enjoy an enriching concert experience in a sensory-friendly format and safe and accepting environment. These concerts take place at Landmark Center in downtown St. Paul. These events are FREE with no tickets required. Low income families can receive free or low-cost tickets, bus subsidies and tuition assistance through the Stages Theatre Company’s Open Door Program. You can also visit up to three pay-what-you-can performances each year!
The Three Rivers Park District offers Recreation Pass Plus cards to low income households in Hennepin or Scott counties. This pass provides free equipment rentals, discounts on programs and free recreation passes! Apply for the pass online.

The Works Museum offers a Gateway Program that provides discounts to low income families. To be eligible, you need to receive MN EBT or benefits from another qualifying program. Once you prove that you qualify, you can choose to pay $4.25 per person for daily admission or purchase a $25 family membership that will give your family free admission for an entire year!
