Beds for Children and Youth: Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP)
SHP is a non-profit organization that provides twin-size beds (or twin-size bunkbeds) to children in need. Beds are available quickly and SHP will provide the bedframe, mattress, sheets and bedding as needed (if any of those items are not needed, please note that on the request). The contact information below is specifically designated for Dakota and Scott County residents.

If you apply on behalf of a family, the organization typically contacts the family directly to arrange drop-off and set-up. If you prefer SHP arrange delivery through you, make note of that in the request

Reduced phone and internet service for low income — Bevcomm participates in the federal "lifeline" program bringing phone service to low income families. There is also low income internet programs as well. Need to apply directly to BEVCOMM.

Comcast / Xfinity is offering two months free to new Internet Essentials customers. In addition, hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs them for free – including non-Xfinity Internet subscribers. For a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, visit www.xfinity.com/wifi. Once at a hotspot, consumers should select the “xfinitywifi” network name in the list available, and then launch a browser.
