Travel Release - must be completed in order to be transported home by a parent at least 24 hours in advance.
Return to Participation - must be completed if seen by a physician for injury or illness.
Qualifying Physical Exam Form- must completed every three years prior to tryouts. To access the most recent form, search online for "MSHSL Sports Qualifying Physical" and the year.
Athlete Participation fee - $235 Due before the first match. Payable on the school app. This fee goes to the school to cover expenses related to facilities, staffing, and officiating. Students eligible for free or reduced lunch may pay less. Contact the Activities Office for details.
Assessment Fee - Due the first week of school. Most East programs assess a fee to cover coach bus upgrades, tournament expenses, uniforms/apparel, etc. We get a coach bus for long-distance away games whenever they are available so that players can rest and study on the bus. The team is responsible for covering the cost over what a regular school bus cost would be.
Assessment checks can be made out to East Volleyball Booster Club and given to the head coach. Sorry, electronic payment is not available for this. Cash is fine, but must be clearly labeled with player name and "Assessment" in an envelope.
Player-Provided Gear Players are expected to have their own black spandex (3-inch inseam), kneepads and shoes. Black leggings are recommended.
Fan Gear - Optional purchase through a supplier, watch for announcements from coaching staff.
Game Night Admissions - Adults $11, season passes available through the Activities Office
Team Photos Order - Optional purchase for photo prints or digital images. Forms can be turned in on the day of photos or ordered online through our photographer.
Secret Pal Gifts/Notes - Traditionally, players get the name of their "secret pal" that they will acknowledge each game day. We encourage special notes, locker signs or other low cost/no cost options. Small items such as food, drinks, or small trinkets are often gifted.
Out of Town Meals/Stops - Players are encouraged to pack a healthy foods for before and after away matches. For long-distance trips (Bemidji, Grand Rapids, Greenway, etc) coaches may allow the bus to stop at a fast-food restaurant before the trip home if a meal has not been provided by the Booster club. Offerings in some locations is fairly limited. Players must pay for their own meals. Contact the Booster Club if you are interested in helping to organize meals for the whole program.
Banquet - usually around $25-30 per person. More information in October.
**Other expenses may occur during the season, such as away game stops or things the teams choose to do. The coaches and booster club tries minimize costs when possible. If you, or anyone you know, is having a hard time meeting these expenses, please notify a coach or board member. Assistance is available. To get involved with the East Volleyball Booster Club, see the EVBC link in the menu above.
