The Technology Department distributed your new Google credentials in March.
We changed your username so that it was easier for people outside the district to identify you from your email address.
We changed the domain from hibbing.k12.mn.us because isd701.org is shorter and easier to communicate to other people.
We changed your password to something more secure since your data is now hosted by Google.
This is temporary. Over the summer we will update the district systems to use your new Google credentials, including:
Your AppleID is your personal account, the district does not manage it or have any access to it. If you are using your hibbing.k12.mn.us email address as your AppleID, you should change it to your new email address. We have a Support Article to help you with this process.
If you are using a personal email address as an AppleID, you can continue to do so, but you should verify that you are not using your old hibbing.k12.mn.us email address as a recovery or notification address and update it if necessary.
You should update any school or personal online accounts that use your old hibbing.k12.mn.us to your new isd701.org address. Here are some useful links:
Don't forget to update other places you might use your old hibbing.k12.mn.us email address, for example online retailers and subscription services.
Schoology is not going away, in fact Schoology will gain additional features because it integrates with Google Suite for Education. It will be easier than ever integrating documents and content that you create into Schoology lessons and assignments because of the tight integration that Schoology has with Google (once we enable those features).
