College Courses

Battle Lake School offers several concurrent enrollment courses. These courses are taught in our building by our faculty. Starting in Fall 2018, a total of 36 college credits can be earned. Students who are eligible will receive dual-credits (high school & college credit) for the course. The two programs we use for dual-credit classes are M.State's Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) & University of Minnesota Crookston's College in the High School (CIHS). Eligibility requirements are below. These classes should transfer to most colleges. Most courses are general electives (common classes required for four year degree programs).

  • College Writing I & College Writing II (6 credits)
  • Introduction to Literature: Novels & Environmental Literature (6 credits)
  • 20th Century (American History) (3 credits)
  • World History I & World History II (6 credits)
  • College Physics (4 credits)
  • College Pre-calculus (3 credits)
  • Animal Science (4 credits)
