Description: This course is designed to give students a chance to learn a variety of knowledge related to animals used in our world. Students will study the scientific background of how improvements are made in producing high-quality animals being raised today. Scientific selection methods of animals will be studied along with animal genetics and animal growth. Students will study basic animal systems, parasites and diseases, and animal health in this course. Students will cover special areas such as animal welfare, consumer concerns of Ag production, and technology used in the industry.
