Unit 1: The Constitution/Bill of Rights and Current Events

Week 1-Students will dig into the primary resources of nations rule books. The Constitution is is the cornerstone of this class. We will refer to the principles of the Preamble throughout the school year. For this reason, students will need to memorize the 52 word preamble.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
