Graduation Requirements
Students are required to earn a minimum of 23 credits between 9-12 grade in the following areas in order to earn a Bigfork Diploma:

Grade 9: Freshman Literature = 1.0
Grades 10, 11 & 12: = 1.0 per year
Grades 11-12: CIS English courses require teacher & counselor approval. Students will earn dual credit - high school & college credit.
Grade 9:
Civics = .5 credit
American Studies = .5 credit
Grades 10 & 11:
US History = 1.0 credit
World History - 1.0 credit
(These courses alternate every-other year.)
Grade 12:
Economics = .5 credit
Grade 9:
Intermediate Algebra = 1.0 credit
Grade 10:
Geometry = 1 credit
(Students who wish to double up and also take Advanced Algebra as a sophomore need teacher and counselor approval.)
Grade 11:
Advanced Algebra = 1 credit
(Students who completed in grade 10 can take a CIS Math option through Infinity online.)
Grade 12:
(CIS Option through Infinity online.)
Grade 9:
Physical Science 9 = 1 credit
Grade 10:
Biology 10 = 1 credit
Grade 11:
Chemistry or Physics = 1.0 credit
OR
Grade 12:
Chemistry or Physics = 1.0
(1.0 credit of Chemistry or Physics is required.)

Team Sports = .5 credit
Recreational Sports = .5 credit
Personal Fitness = .5 credit
(Phy Ed courses taken beyond the required 1.0 will count as elective credit.)
Grade 10:
Health = .5 credit
Grade 10, 11 or 12:
Personal Finance = .5 credit
Band = .5 credit per year
Choir = .5 credit per year
Art = .5 per semester
