2023/2024 Registration at GRHS
Grand Rapids High School
2024/2025 Registration Request Process
The 2024/2025 GRHS Course Registration Window will open February 7th, 2024 and close February 29th 2024
A few notes before you make your choices:
Carefully read through the course descriptions on the following pages to understand course requirements and expectations before selecting your courses
Understand the sequencing of courses. If you would like to get to an upper level or capstone course prior to graduation, understand which courses are required in the years prior.
Check for courses that are either a prerequisite FOR another course or require a prerequisite BEFORE the course can be available to you.
Consider your course selections carefully! Counseling is working hard to reduce the number of schedule changes made each semester. We will alter schedules to fill ‘holes’, balance teacher rosters, and to accommodate changes due to serious academic reasons.

Course Selection Guide
There are 7 hours in the day and two semesters – this means that there are 14 slots to fill with a course number. Full year courses take up a slot each semester (and therefore have 2 numbers). As a guide –
14 numbers (or 7 credits) = no study halls
13 numbers (or 6.5 credits) = 1 study hall (semester 1 or 2)
12 numbers (or 6 credits) = 2 study halls (one each semester)
