Reading Specialist

My name is Stephanie Watts. I am the District Reading Specialist for JWP. I started at JWP in 2014 as a third grade teacher. I have been the Reading Specialist since 2016. I'm married to my husband Mike and we have two sons named Bennett & Gavin. In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, reading, and baking. My husband and I also love to get a round of golf in during the summer. As the District Reading Specialist, I work with a state of Minnesota program called ADSIS. ADSIS stands for Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services. Through this program, I work with Kindergarten through third grade students in need of reading interventions. 

4-6 Interventionist

My name is Tammy Barnes. I am the 4th - 6th grade reading and math interventionist. I started at JWP as a 3rd grade teacher and moved into this position in 2019. I am a proud alum of JWP...the class of 1993! I completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Mankato State University and obtained my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Southwest State University. I’m married to John and the mother of two boys; Colin and Ian. I enjoy reading, cooking, and singing. I currently sing with a two groups; In a Bind and GTX.

Title I Coordinator

Hello! My name is Liz Winters and I have been the Title I Coordinator since 2014. I started at JWP in 1999 as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher.  I completed my education at Mankato State University with an elementary education degree with a license to teach grades K-6. I earned my Masters of Teaching and Learning degree in 2008 from Saint Mary's University. Fun Fact- I have been a JWP Bulldog since JWP started! Go Bulldogs!

Title I Paraprofessional

Hi! My name is Ann Gerdts and I am a Title I paraprofessional. I've worked at JWP since 1995. I completed my education at Mankato State University in 1994 with an Elementary Education degree, with a grade 1-6 license.
I have lived in Janesville all my life. My husband Jason and I have two children. Brady works in construction, and Dani is in 10th grade. Our family enjoys camping and hunting together. I love watching all of their sporting events. When I do get some alone time, I love to read a good book!

Title I Paraprofessional

Hello, my name is Amy Prange. I have worked for JWP since 2018. I grew up in the Madison Lake area and currently live just outside of Janesville. My husband Mike and I have three children, Michaela, Coleton and Brock. Our family enjoys camping, fishing and hunting together. You can find me zooming off to all of their sporting events to cheer them on, no matter what the weather! We love family fun nights playing board games like Sequence and UNO and watching movies. In my free time, I love reading, sewing, crochet and shopping. 

Title I Paraprofessional

Deb Witt is the newest addition to the Intervention team. She's been working at JWP for over 20 years.
She's married to Jim. All of her kids and grandkids attend(ed) school at JWP. In her spare time, she like to be outdoors and go on walks, hiking, biking, canoeing, and kayaking. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her grandkids and dogs.
