JFK COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER CORE VALUES
College is any postsecondary education after high school (4 year, 2 year, community, technical, trade, certification, apprenticeship, etc.)
Postsecondary education or training opens the doors to opportunity by giving students the knowledge and skills needed for success.
All students have the right to explore and pursue postsecondary education or training. Students deserve equal access to opportunities so all students meet their potential.
Student’s development of a Personal Growth Plan (PGP) creates relevance by connecting their aspirations with their educational goals, which impacts postsecondary education and training completion.
Ongoing collaborative relationships with college access programs (AVID, College Possible), internship/mentorship programs, postsecondary institutions, and local businesses is necessary to enhance the career and college going culture at KHS.
