MTSS Specialist, counselors, and math lab teacher review screening data after each testing window to identify students who may need intervention.
Once a student meets the entrance criteria, the following process supports collaborative decision-making and next steps:
Student meets entrance criteria above.
Math lab teacher gets recommendation from student’s counselor, math teacher, and case manager/EL teacher if applicable.
Math teacher notifies the parent/guardian of their students’ Fastbridge scores meeting the criteria.
Math teacher sends home permission letter (linked above) to be signed and returned prior to starting intervention.
Once letter is sent, counselor makes schedule change and interventionist begins intervention work. Note that our math lab letter is an opt-out letter so we do not need to wait for it to be signed/returned prior to beginning intervention.
