Qualifying Tournaments
Each team can compete in up to two qualifying tournaments a season. These tournaments are hosted by our FIRST Region partner High Tech Kids at local schools around the state on either Saturday or Sunday. Teams register for 1 or 2 competitions that work for them.

10:30 AM Drivers Meeting
11:00 AM Opening Ceremonies
11:15 AM Qualification Matches
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Lunch
1:00 PM Qualification Matches Continue
1:00 PM – 2:45 PM Pit Judging
3:00 PM Alliance Selection and Finals Matches
4:30 PM AWARDS CEREMONY
Awards and Qualifying for States
Depending on the tournament a certain number of teams will advance to state. Typically more teams advace in the early competitions than the later ones.

FTC State Tournament
The state tournament this year (2023-24) is at the Saint Paul RiverCenter and Roy Wilkins Auditorium on Feb 16-17.
Friday is when all the judging and inspections happen and Saturday is all the robot matches. Saturday morning is qualifying and the afternoon is for alliance selection and the finals matches.
