Journaling can help control your symptoms and feelings by improving your mood. Similar to talking and being able to express yourself, journaling helps prioritize problems, and identifies fears and concerns. Journaling gives us an opportunity to put all of our feelings onto a piece paper and express ourselves through positive self-talk, identifying negative thoughts and work towards personal growth/wellness.
Below are a few journal prompts that you can choose from. They have been divided up by category (art, mental health, personal growth/goals, reflections, and gratitude). When choosing a prompt, we recommend selecting 3-5 and trying to write for 10-15 minutes at least. Review what you write and look for positive self-talk, identifying some of the negative thoughts, and notice when there is personal growth.
