Känguru der Mathematik

Känguru der Mathematik is an annual mathematics competition.  Each year on the third Thursday in March, more than 50 schools compete at their grade level 1 to 12. Mathematical ability and skills are important; however, logical problem solving ability is the primary determinant for success.  The International School Carinthia has taken part for the third year in a row, but 2019 showed our largest cohort so far, which included all year levels from PYP 2 to MYP 4.  One MYP 3 student placed first in the competition, and three other students from PYP 2, MYP 3 and MYP 4 placed in the top 10.
