All assessments must be posted on Managebac one week in advance
No more than 2 summative tasks in one day
Assessments need to be reported on via ManageBac
Aim for smaller tasks to be completed in class - think about portfolio approach
Formative assessment need to be provided in order for the students to be ready to take the summative assessment. Formative tasks can include the unit’s key and related concepts, unit standards, and/or Approaches to Learning Skills. Feedback on the formative tasks should help prepare students for the summative tasks.
All summative tasks must be based on the subject criteria and complex enough to allow students the opportunity to reach the highest achievement level.
Teachers must use a variety of different assessment strategies over the course of the year.
Tasks must be differentiated, but still meet the same learning outcomes, so that no student is at a disadvantage.
Summative tasks should connect to the Statement of Inquiry.

At roughly the semester mid-point (each semester), Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences are used to report and reflect on learning.
At the end of the first semester, a formal report is produced and sent to students and families. The grade in this report is a progress grade and is NOT final (unless the student leaves at the semester).
At the end of the year, a formal report is produced and sent to students and families. This is the final grade.
