Buses
All the bus stops in Korea have a screen that display the bus numbers and minutes until the next bus arrives. There are also apps that accurately track where the buses are down to the minute, which you can refresh every 15 seconds. You can pay in cash for the bus fare or with your transportation card. Find the official Busan buses website here for more information.

Taxis
Taxis in Korea are widely available, convenient, and reasonably priced, but navigating through the traffic may take a lot of time. Busan is also quite a large city and the trips are time-consuming. Many drivers can speak English but not all of them, so you might face some language barriers. You can use a translation app or type in the name of your destination in Korean on your phone and show your driver.
The starting fare for a regular taxi is 3300 won, which covers the first two kilometers of the trip, and adds 100 won for each additional 133 meters.
There is a late-night surcharge of 20% on all rides if you take a cab between midnight and 4 am. If your destination is outside Busan city limits, there will also be a 30-40% surcharge. Tipping the driver is not necessary as they are customary in Korea.
You can also call taxis using the Kakao app which is explained in the convenient apps and websites section and pay via the app. This is a convenient option if you can't see any taxis nearby, as it will bring a taxi that is currently closest to your location.
