Challenge: We can recognize that “anything can be art,” but this has a side-effect of limiting our conversation. Let’s take that observation off the table and assume we can find a definitive definition of capital-"A"  Art.  If so, what can that definition be? If at the end of the Art unit, people want to return to the “anything can be art” that’s perfectly acceptable, but until that time, let’s push for an extreme position in order to better highlight our ideas definitively.
