Interviews

Interviews may or may not play a role in every student's application process. We always encourage students to know exactly what their requirements are. At some universities, an interview is required for all students. At others, interviews may only be required for certain fields of study. At others still, the interview may be an optional process. Moreover, an interview can be very different depending on the purpose of the interview. We encourage students to contact their university counselor as soon as they know they have an interview to discuss how to prepare. We are able to offer or arrange practice interviews for all types of interviews. Please find some resources below that may be helpful!

Some Universities That Require Interviews

Universities That Recommend Interviews

In the US, students should find out if interviews are recommended, and if so, whether they are available online for students located outside of the US. This information can generally be found on admission websites, or on the Common Data Set. Students should also find out ahead of time whether the interview is informational, or evaluative. Always do your research before emailing to ask, as some universities will clearly state that they do not offer interviews.

Here are some interview basics for interviews with US universities, as well as some sample questions.
