Why did I choose the question I chose?
I chose Christianity because I know a lot of people that are Christian, and I really wanted to know why there are so many more Christian people than Islamic people and I wanted to know why? Then we did some lessons on Christianity and I really wanted to learn more so I chose this as my question because it is about Christianity and how the religion became so big. I also chose this question because I thought it was very interesting, and you can learn a lot.
In this picture you can see that there are a lot of people practicing Christianity and that it is the biggest religion
What I found out?
I found out that Christianity is the most popular religion of all of the religions, in 2010 there estimate was over 2.18 billion people and that is nearly a third of the worlds population. One of my questions that I wanted to answer with this big question is what country practices the most Christianity and that is the USA, their are more than 243.06 million Christian people in the USA. I was also wondering about how does it spread because I didn't really get how so many people started being Christian even though they didn't even know that it existed so I started searching up some words and then I couldn't really find anything but then I found a really good website and I found out that a lot of people were passing it on to each other and people started being Christian while the Augustan System was going on.
Why are their so many people practicing Christianity?
Their are a lot of people practicing Christianity, and I was wondering why do so many people practice Christianity so I started researching. I found out that a lot of people practice Christianity because it is easy to follow, and their are no rigid guidelines and that means that they don't have to follow anything. They are also not forced to go to church, it doesn't matter if you go every day, every week, once a month, once a year or never.
Here the blue part is for the Christians and the Yellow/orange colour is for the muslims. You can see very clearly that there are way more Christians that Muslims today.
When/how did it spread?
Around 30 A.D was when Christianity was discovered. It was found in Judea, the olden days of Israel. In 30 CE more people started becoming Christian, so it spread. In 200 CE Jesus was crucified. In 600 CE Christianity became popular in Western Europe and they started being Christian in that part of the world. In 800 CE Muslims take land in the Levant, North Africa, and the Iberian Peninsula. In 1600 CE it started to spread to United States of America. It all spread because the government and the Christianity tied together. Christianity also spread a lot during the Roman Augustan System. It was happening during the Age of Discovery.
In the bible they say “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.'”“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” These quotes are from the bible and it shows that they are basically force to tell people about Christianity and that is also why there are so many people practicing Christianity.
