Who uses IRG germplasm?

Genetic resources conserved at IRG are utilized by scientists and researchers within and outside the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) system. Recipients of IRG materials reside in different nations across the world. Research institutes, academic institutions or universities, national programs, non-government organizations, private companies, farmers and individuals, and national genebanks are continuously requesting and utilizing the germplasm conserved by IRG.

Affiliation

This section shows the share of the total number of requests for IRG accessions by the affiliation of the requestor or recipient institution. The first pie chart shows the proportion of the total number of requests by the general affiliation of the requestor, whether a member of the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (One-CGIAR) or not. The second pie chart shows the proportion of the total number of requests by the specific institutional affiliation of the non-CGIAR requestors.  Filtering can be done by continent and by country. Filtering will affect all the graphs and tables on the page. The Reset filter button will remove all the filterings and go back to the default data.  If 'Error 400' occurs, manually refresh the browser.

Recipient country

This section shows the total number of requests for IRG accessions, and count of IRG accessions, distinct IRG accessions from all of the requests made by the recipient country.  The map shows that the darker the color of a country, the higher the count of indicators selected by country. The summary table on the first tab contains the total number of each of the three indicators per recipient country, while the second tab contains the list of all IRG accession by recipient country. The pie and bar charts show the top 15 countries with the highest number of IRG accessions requested under the selected criteria. Data can be filtered through filter boxes (by continent and by country) or through the table headers.. Filtering will affect all the graphs and tables on the page. Filtering will affect all the graphs and tables on the page. The Reset filter button will remove all the filterings and go back to the default data. If 'Error 400' occurs, manually refresh the browser.

Flow of germplasm

This section shows the flow of germplasm from the continent of origin and source continent to the recipient continent, and from the origin and source country to the recipient country. The thickness of the bars represents either the count of requests, count of accessions, or count of distinct accessions received depending on the chosen indicator by the user.  For the origin and source country, only the top 10 countries were shown. Filtering can be done by continent and by country. Filtering will affect all the graphs and tables on the page. The Reset filter button will remove all the filterings and back to the default data. If 'Error 400' occurs, manually refresh the browser.

Yearly trend

This section shows the total number of the following: requests for IRG accessions, IRG accessions, and distinct IRG accessions from all requests when the request was made each year. Data can be filtered by continent and country. Filtering will affect all the graphs and tables on the page. The Reset filter button will remove all the filterings and back to the default data. If 'Error 400' occurs, manually refresh the browser.

Affiliation by decade

This section shows the total number of the following: requests for IRG accessions, IRG accessions, and distinct IRG accessions from all of the requests by the affiliation of the requestor and by the decade when the request was made. The values of the graph (count of requests,  IRG accessions, and distinct IRG accessions) can be changed using the dropdown selector on the label of the y-axis. Data can be filtered by continent and by country. Filtering will affect all the graphs and tables on the page. Filtering will affect all the graphs and tables on the page. Country by decade

This section shows the total number of requests for IRG accessions, the count of IRG accessions, and the count of distinct IRG accessions from all of the requests by the country of the requestor and by the decade when the request was made. The values of the graph (count of requests, RG accessions, and distinct IRG accessions) can be changed using the dropdown selector on the label of the y-axis. Filtering can be done by continent and by country. Filtering will affect all the graphs and tables on the page. The Reset filter button will remove all the filterings and back to the default data. Country's development status

This section shows the total number of the following:  requests for IRG accessions, IRG accessions, and the distinct IRG accessions from all of the requests (by the country’s development status of the requestor and the decade when the request was made. The values of the graph (count of requests, count of IRG accessions, and count of distinct IRG accessions) can be changed using the dropdown selector on the label of the y-axis.
