I received my education at SUU where I obtained Bachelors and Masters degrees in Elementary Education. I have been a teacher for 24 years, all in Iron County. I spent 6 years teaching Kindergarten and 3 years in First Grade at Fiddlers Elementary. I took a sabbatical for one year when my last child was born. I was fortunate to get a job teaching Extended-Day Kindergarten at South Elementary, which is the school I attended as a child. After one year, I switched to 3rd grade and have been there ever since. Third graders are awesome and I feel fortunate to be able to teach that age of children. Both of my parents were educators, along with 2 grandfathers and 1 grandmother. My dad was even a teacher at South Elementary before becoming the Principal at Enoch Elementary. My 3 sisters are also teachers, so maybe you could conclude that it's in my genes.

In my spare time I love to read, travel and of course, spend time with my family. I really enjoy being a teacher and feel blessed to work with the best students in the world!
